Trailer prediction
From the trailer, we can see that Arcane will take place in the regions of Piltover and Zaun. The two regions share a connection, as Piltover is right on top of Zaun. The City Of Progress is a title that the region of Piltover enjoys due to it being an important point of trade in Runeterra. Whereas Zaun is a place of high rates of crime and poverty, where even breathing is a hazard. Therefore, the citizens of Piltover and Zaun are always at odds with each other. This tension will form a central part of the story of Arcane, as the showrunner has confirmed.
The central plot of the series will come from the rivalry of sisters Vi and Jinx. Both the sisters start off as criminals in Zaun, surviving in the impoverished city. Eventually, Vi goes on to become an Enforcer, keeping the peace in Zaun. Whereas Jinx expands her criminal activities, turning the sisters into enemies.
