Backstory of the Character
Hisoka Morow, or better known as Hisoka, is the Grim Reaper and magician. He is one of the main villains of the anime/manga series – Hunter x Hunter.
Hisoka is shown as an entirely self-serving, and selfish character. He does whatever he feels right as long as it pleases him. His voracious love for spilling the blood of powerful fighters in war and his enjoyment of tremendous pain while doing so fuels his sadomasochistic desires.
Being one of the main villains of the story, Hisoka is over and over again considered to be evil. Certainly, he has killed people whom he considered to be undeserving of his time and attention. If someone stands in the path of his goal, he’ll act consequently and get rid of them.

Only those whom he considers worthy of being defeated face that destiny at his hands. Simply put, Hisoka is an unethical character.
The 1999 version of Hunter x Hunter is different from the 2011 version in many ways. There are quite a lot of differences in Hisoka’s character, just like there are in every other character. For instance, the 1999 version of the anime shows had Hisoka’s hair be blue all through the anime series.
On the other hand, the 2011 anime shows his hair to be red in some parts and magenta in others. Like his hair, his eye color seems to have a similar discrepancy across the two versions being blue in 1999 and yellow in 2011.
His character has shown major transformations from 1999 to 2011.
